Michelle and Joe planned to get married in Spain but alas COVID put a stop to that. They did not postpone, all they wanted was to be married to each other. Michelle and Joe got to re-planning and settled on the 1st July 2021 in the beautiful surroundings of The Red Door, Fahan, Co. Donegal.
They needed to find a new celebrant and am I so glad they found me. From the moment I met them I knew I was in the presence of a couple truly in love. From the time they met, working together in Currys in Galway, they have enjoyed and will continue to enjoy many experiences and adventures together, which in their words "will make the world a safer place filled with happiness and plenty of laughs along the way".
Planning and preparing the ceremony was an absolute pleasure. Michelle and Joe knew exactly what they wanted in their ceremony, from the readings and the music, the lighting of the candles and the inclusion of the Rose Ceremony.
The day of the wedding came and the sun shone, just like as if we were in Spain. The beautiful stunning set-up at the Red Door on the shores of Lough Swilly in the Inishowen peninsula, in Co. Donegal. A fantastic team of co-workers. The wonderful staff from the Red Door, who made us feel very welcome. And as you can see every moment was captured so perfectly by Paul Doherty Photographer.
They could not have wished for better. A memorable occasion with family and friends filled with love and support for Michelle and Joe as they declared their bond as husband and wife. Beautiful music and readings, the perfect candle ceremony, with no breeze to challenge us and specially chosen vows. Michelle and Joe included the Rose Ceremony to symbolise their union in marriage. Their mothers, Laura and Margaret, presented them with two red roses, the symbol of love, which Michelle and Joe then exchanged with each other as their first gift to each other as husband and wife.
The perfect day for a beautiful couple. Wishing them both a long life together filled with happiness, good fortune and most of all, filled with love.
